DEVELOPMENT THROUGH GLOBAL COLLABORATION

Earlier this year, Lee Li, Laboratory Instrumental Manager – Tianjin, visited the John Knight laboratory at Alfred H Knight’s headquarters in Merseyside, UK.  During his visit, Lee was able to train with Alastair Fraser, XRF Technical Manager and Martin Brown, Group ICP Manager, on new software and technical developments for ICP and XRF. 

This hands-on experience not only enhanced Lee’s expertise but also exemplified how ambition, combined with collaboration, fuels innovation across our global network.

Following Lee’s visit to the UK, James Sharkey, Group XRF Technical Chemist, and Ya Gao, Regional and Quality Lead – Asia, visited the Tianjin laboratory.  Together, they implemented new Group XRF methods, delivered on-site training, and conducted vital audits and method assessments.

These visits highlight a shared ambition to unify standards and deliver technical excellence worldwide.

CHAMPIONING WELLNESS AND COLLABORATION IN BOTSWANA

At Alfred H Knight, we understand the importance of bonding and wellness programmes to construct a healthy, productive, and collaborative work environment. 

Recently, our management team in Botswana participated in a series of dynamic team-building sessions designed to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and encourage a culture of trust — all of which are key for boosting well-being and performance across the board.

INVESTING IN EXCELLENCE: QUALITY AND TECHNICAL TRAINING PROGRAMME 

Recently, colleagues from AHK Indonesia visited Headquarters in Merseyside, UK, for an in-depth Quality and Technical Training Programme designed to sharpen expertise and spark collaboration.

During their visit, the team took part in hands-on training sessions covering quality and key laboratory techniques. The group also partnered with the UK Learning and Development team to exchange ideas and map out exciting opportunities for future training and growth.

The programme was a two-way exchange of knowledge, inspiration, and ambition, highlighting our global commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration.
