WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join the team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, we require suitably experienced Administrator to be based in Bintulu, Malaysia. You will be responsible for general administrative duties in a biomass testing laboratory.

This is a hands-on role requiring a practical, pragmatic and flexible approach, in all aspects, to ensure successful team work.

Main responsibilities:

  • Set up an Administration process for this new business unit in alignment with AHK policies and procedures.
  • Provide general office administrative duties as required; filing, ordering, preparing and issuing invoices, correspondence etc. as requested by the Operations Manager.
  • Submit or enter chemical analysis data in accordance with the quality system and AHK LIMS system and prepare technical and analysis reports as required.
  • Organise travel arrangements including flights, hotel bookings and car-hire for AHK personnel when required.
  • Managing the operations stock on a weekly basis and ordering when necessary.
  • Take minutes of meetings, prepare and issue in a timely manner.
  • Be able to liaise with the client on a professional basis and respond to client requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure all activities are performed within the AHKES quality system.
  • Provide training and guidance for any administrative assistant employed.
  • Comply with all local environmental, employment and health and safety legislation in performance of your work.

 

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

 

Essential

  • Intermediate or Advanced level of computer literacy and proficiency in  Microsoft Office and Google workflow is essential.
  • Able to work with modern IT/IS hardware and software.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Unrivalled attention to detail.
  • Able to work autonomously or part of a team.

 

Required Work Experience

  • Previous Administration experience in a similar role within a  laboratory or technical environment is essential.

 

Required Qualifications

  • HE qualification in a business or management studies field. This requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
