Energy Services Graduate Programme

What is on offer?

Alfred H Knight has an opportunity for a graduate from a science, engineering or business background to join our Energy Services Graduate Programme.  Based at our UK Energy Services Headquarters in the West of Scotland, the role will involve a 12 month development programme. Throughout the programme you will spend time learning about AHK, working within and gaining an understanding of the entire business unit.

You will have the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects and areas of our Energy Services function, before potentially being offered a permanent contract with the opportunity to specialise in a role suited to your skills. You may also have the opportunity to travel overseas on secondments to Louisiana, USA and Jakarta, Indonesia.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Science, Engineering or a Business related subject
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken as you would be working with external and internal stakeholders

Desirable Skills 

  • An understanding of the solid fuels industry


  • Fluency in English is essential (Other languages e.g. Bahasa are advantageous)

Travel Requirements 

  • Travel as required both domestically and internationally.
  • Candidates should hold a full UK driving licence
  • Must have a valid passport and the ability to obtain visas as necessary.
