Head of Operational Resilience and Business Continuity


Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Operational Resilience and Business Continuity to join our team in Liverpool and advance their career with a Company at the forefront of the TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) industry.

Working in this role as part of the wider Risk team, you will collaborate with Alfred H Knight’s business functions supporting the continuous identification and improvement of our operations, processes and technologies. You will also be responsible for developing an Operational Resilience framework, with the aim of achieving a consistent approach across the Group.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

Required Knowledge and Experience


Essential knowledge, skills and behaviours

  • Showcasing the applicable business continuity and resilience standards alongside industry good practice and standards.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the BCM lifecycle with experience in the implementation and management of business continuity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills as appropriate and tailored to the needs of the audience.
  • Excellent organisational skills; with the ability to balance priorities to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Outstanding Crisis Management and Strategic thinking.


Required Work Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in corporate risk management and/or related industry experience with emphasis on managing global risk exposures.


Desirable Work Experience

  • Experience of a multinational group environment
  • Experience in a Laboratory environment


Required Travel 

  • Periodic travel will be required between the Group’s UK operational sites.
  • Overseas travel may be required but will be less frequent.
