Human Resources Business Partner


Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team, based at our Headquarters in Knowsley, Liverpool. Working within the Human Resources and Learning & Development department,  this role will support Alfred H Knight and its people to achieve our business aims, by having the right people, in the right place, at the right time, with the right skills.

As HRBP, you will provide a key interface between HR and the designated global client group to embed a strategic approach to Human Resources. Working in partnership with both managers and employees, you will provide professional, customer focused HR advice and solutions, in order to support and build AHK and our people’s capabilities. This role will also have a strong talent development focus, ensuring the success of AHK’s global talent and leadership development approach.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Work Experience

  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-structured reports. A confident presenter with the ability to influence at a senior level.

Required Work Experience

  • A demonstrable track record of progression within a relevant HR function in a complex or matrix structure
  • A demonstrable experience of working in a complex HR function at ‘Generalist’ or ‘HR Advisor’ level, or the equivalent
  • A demonstrable experience of managing projects and delivering successful outcomes
  • Experience in developing and delivering graduate development and leadership programmes
  • Demonstrable experience of developing innovative approaches to complex problems

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum CIPD Level 5 in Human Resources

Desirable Qualifications

  • BA or BSc Degree in Human Resources


  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Spanish and other languages are advantageous

Travel Requirements

  • Regular travel within the UK
  • Overseas travel on occasion
