Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a HRBP to provide a key interface between HR and the designated global client group to embed a strategic approach to Human Resources. Working in partnership with managers and employees to provide professional, customer-focused, commercially-informed HR advice and solutions that support and build organisational and people capabilities. The role will have a strong talent development focus, helping to design and build on work already done to ensure AHK has a global talent and leadership development approach that is clearly focused on bringing the right talent through at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
Build credible relationships with business leaders to help understand ‘people’ challenges and help shape and challenge their thinking.
Work closely with the internal HR, talent acquisition and L&D teams to influence any hiring decisions and ensure the best talent is attracted, onboarded and developed.
Support with the development of an engaging recruitment and onboarding process ensuring the business becomes the employer of choice.
Support the development of the AHK global graduate and leadership talent pool and assist in creating a graduate talent development plan for the business. Partner closely with business leaders and talent acquisition.
Take a proactive and key role in projects, including effective planning and monitoring of projects, managing risk, issues and benefits and contingency planning.
Proactively leading on various engagement initiatives to maximise employee performance which are aligned to making AHK a great place to work.
Being instrumental in driving change and helping leaders manage change within a complex business environment.
Work with managers to support complex ER cases including performance management, absence, disciplinaries and grievances. Providing guidance on HR policy and interpretation.
Managing the exit interview process, analyse data and trends and make recommendations and changes.
Supporting and coaching managers with the talent and succession planning process.
Looking at current ways of working and existing processes to streamline and automate as much as possible including the rollout of digital systems.
To be responsible for delivering excellence in all aspects of service delivery by identifying areas for improvement in services and implementing good practices.
Assist in the development and implementation of coherent people plans within the client group that enable, facilitate and achieve organisational and cultural change.
Take the lead on more complex case management and use analytics and insight to deliver service and business improvements.
Stay abreast in new developments in both Employment Law and external changes affecting the client group.
Working with the Learning and Development team to influence and coach managers to identify high performance and to initiate development opportunities, embedding talent development and succession planning, linked to the needs of the organisation.
Develop and contribute to strategies, new initiatives, policies and procedures to meet the aims of the business.
Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-structured reports and briefs. Confident presenter with the ability to influence at a senior level.
Quality: ‘Right first-time’ approach, completes work to a high standard, continually looking for improvements and strong problem-solvers, high level of attention to detail is key within this role.
Project management: Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks and manages priorities and time to successfully meet deadlines. Dynamic with the ability to deal with multiple varied projects at any one time.
Managing uncertainty: Handles pressure and ambiguity well, exercises good judgement and handles challenges in a mature manner. Flexibility and pragmatism when dealing with change.

Required Work Experience
Demonstrable track record of progression within a relevant HR function in a complex/matrix structure.
Demonstrable experience of working in a complex HR function at ‘Generalist/HR Advisor’ level or equivalent.
Demonstrable experience in managing projects and delivering successful outcomes.
Experience in developing and delivering graduate development and leadership programmes.
Demonstrable experience in developing innovative approaches to complex problems.
Required Qualifications
Education: BA / BSc Degree in HR is desirable.
Minimum CIPD Level 5 in HR.
Travel / Rotation Requirements
Regular UK and occasional overseas travel.
Required Languages
Spanish is desirable.
