Instrument Operator

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Instrument Operator role joining a dedicated team at our new laboratory facility based in Liverpool. Reporting to the Instrumental Supervisor, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a team analyzing gold and silver in Global Commodities using a state of the art instrumental technique called Photon Assay.  There is also a comprehensive onboarding program when joining Alfred H Knight International, which involves all training, associated with the role.

Shift Pattern: 2pm -10pm Monday to Friday

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

 

Essential 

  • Have the ability to work with minimum supervision
  • High attention to detail
  • Have the ability to problem solve in agreement with your line manager
  • A team player, working alongside others with positivity and respect
  • Willingness to take full ownership of the role
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of manual dexterity
  • Good time keeping
  • Effective interpersonal skills

 

Required Competencies

  • Computer skills using Microsoft software
  • Able to carry out statistical data interpretation

 

Required Work Experience

  • Experience of working in an Accredited Laboratory environment to ISO 17025:2017 standards would be advantageous.
  • One year work experience in a testing laboratory is advantageous
  • Understanding testing principles for instrumental technique such as spectroscopy, spectrophotometry, chromatography etc
  • Familiar with Laboratory QMS and LIMS operation
