IT Business Analyst – 12 Month FTC

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our IT Team. The Business Analyst role is a perfect opportunity for an experienced Agile Business Analyst to work on AHK’s key technology initiatives. As part of the Business Applications team, you will work with key business stakeholders to elicit requirements, run workshops, create user story maps, guide the development team through iterations of development and coordinate user acceptance testing to the highest standards. You will also work closely with Project Managers to identify project requirements and carry out feasibility studies on important project ideas for the Group.

Do you have what it takes?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight, you will need to display the following:

Required Knowledge and Work Experience

Essential

3+ years experience in a business analysis role or carrying out business analysis related activities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties.
Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence based approach.
The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within your project timeframes.
The ability to motivate others and lead change.
A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change.
A strong interest in business and business development.
A good understanding and grasp of information technology.
Experience using modelling languages such as UML and BPMN.
Experience dealing with senior stakeholders.
Able to demonstrate and understanding of the role of the Business Analyst in both an Agile and Waterfall environment.

Desirable

BCS/IIBA Certified.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Metals and Minerals sector experience.
LIMS, JTS and/or Mobile Data Capture experience.
Spanish language skills.
Experience using tools such as Asana, Redmine, Git, Lucidchart/MS Visio and Google Apps.

Required Qualifications

Educated to degree level (high grade).

Required Languages

English and other languages would be advantageous
