Junior Graphic Designer

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our Brand and Design team in Liverpool, UK. Your roles and responsibilities will be broad and diverse, ranging from digital to print, photo/video editing, and administration.

This position offers the right candidate a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a truly global business. We are undertaking a brand refresh to move the brand forward, and the successful candidate will help deliver a wide range of activities to support this.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE 

 

Essential 

  • Have a good understanding of how to set up files for print and digital output.
  • Capable of working on numerous different and varied projects at one time, often to tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, in particular InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Proficient at catching typographical, spelling, formatting, contextual and stylistic errors and correcting them accordingly.

 

Required Competencies

  • Ability to create and edit templates within Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • The ability to see projects through from inception to production.
  • Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Eager to learn and passionate about design.
  • Able to take direction and happy to receive feedback.
  • Clear understanding of and experience in corporate branding, layout and typography.

 

Required Work Experience

  • Recent graduates or designers with up to three years experience.
  • Experience working in-house would be advantageous.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Foundation Degree, Higher National Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design.
