Junior Product Owner

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Product Owner to join our Business Applications team, based at our Headquarters in Knowsley, Liverpool. This role will support the Product Manager to research the clients’ needs to determine which features to include on the Group’s product.

As a Junior Product Owner, you will refine the backlog and act as an intermediary between the development team and the business or client, communicating the roadmap to internal and external stakeholders.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

Required Knowledge and Work Experience

 

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence based approach
  • The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within your project timeframes
  • A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change
  • A strong interest in business and business development
  • A good understanding and grasp of information technology
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the role of a product owner
  • Desirable Skills and Experience
  • An understanding of agile methodologies
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment
  • Previous experience within the Metals and Minerals sector
  • Use of LIMS, JTS and/or Mobile Data Capture
  • Experience using tools such as Asana, Redmine, Git, Lucidchart/MS Visio and Google Apps

 

Required Work Experience

  • Relevant experience in a similar Product Owner role or project

 

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in relevant subject (minimum 2.1 grade or above)

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certified Product Owner certification

 

Languages

  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Other languages, particularly Spanish, are advantageous
