Junior Project Manager


Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Project Manager to join our Marketing Team, based at our headquarters in Prescot, Liverpool.

This position will support the Sales & Marketing Function in the delivery of projects that support the strategic growth of the business including the implementation of new systems, processes and change initiatives.  The Sales and Marketing function across all of AHK’s head offices exist to provide comprehensive Testing, Inspections, and Certification solutions to enable peace of mind through an accurate, consistent, and professional assessment of existing and potential clients.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:



Key responsibilities

  • Create project objectives, budgets, and schedules with the Project Lead’s oversight.
  • Create detailed plans and outlining tasks, timelines, and resources needed.
  • Monitor and document project progress to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any issues or obstacles that arise during the project.
  • Continuously monitoring project progression to ensure quality standards and timeframes are met.
  • Conducting handover activities and obtaining necessary approvals to formally sign off on projects.
  • Preparing and delivering regular updates and reports to keep all teams aware of project progress.
  • Report project progress and results to key stakeholders and management.

  • Strong project management skills to drive multi disciplines to support deliverables.

Required Work Experience

  • Experience in an equivalent role.
  • Good understanding of program planning principles and strategic drivers.
  • Ability to lead projects and delegate/manage tasks.
  • Management and understanding of local and corporate processes.
  • Ability to communicate across management levels on a global basis.
  • Confident in understanding other functions and challenging data where appropriate.


Required Qualifications

  • Project Management  or similar qualifications (Prince2)
