Laboratory Administrator Apprentice

What is on offer?

We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Laboratory Administrator Apprentice to join our team based in Prescot. The first Apprenticeship programme is completed in the Laboratory Administration group, where the successful candidate will be responsible to administer, in an effective and efficient way, samples of metals and minerals sent from ports, warehouses, and transport hubs around the world to our flagship laboratory. This role enables you to contribute from the back office to delivering excellent service for our clients.

  • IT Literate: Competent with Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and electronically.
  • Excellent organisation with a good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A proactive approach working from own initiative.
  • Team player with dignity and due respect for fellow colleagues.
  • Previous use of email for communication.

Desirable:

  • Similar administration experience

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSE C/5 or above in Science, Maths and English

Required Languages

  • Spanish, Mandarin, Russian advantageous

Future prospects

After demonstrating strong performance in both your Laboratory Administration role and the Level 3 Apprenticeship, opportunity to move to our Client Services team as a developing Client Services Coordinator to gain experience of dealing with our clients directly and complete the Level 4 Information Manager Apprenticeship.
