We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Learning & Development Administration Apprentice to join our L & D team based in Prescot.  As our Apprentice Business Administrator, you will be a key part of our dynamic L & D Team, providing true generalist support to your own team as well as managers and employees.  The purpose of this role is to ensure that all administrative aspects of the learning and development cycle are carried out in an effective and efficient manner, through a combination of their own execution of administrative activities and their support to stakeholders

Do you have what it takes?

Responsibilities

• Ensure all aspects of LXP (Hownow) are up to date, fully audited, well managed and that maximum learner engagement is achieved
• Ensure customer departments / teams understand the learning and development systems and processes related to certification of job-related Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (identify the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours required, establish individual proficiency / gaps, learning to fill gaps, certify, record)
• Administer or support team trainers and / or team training administrators to administer to a high standard the learning and development cycle processes and systems including Digital Learning Platform
• Support the development of digital learning resources
• Contribute to projects as necessary
• Generate management information as necessary
• Act as a key point of contact for learning & development activities for stakeholders including line managers, team trainers, team training administrators, delegates, delegates’ line managers, Quality Department, Health & Safety Department and Learning & Development Department.

Skills

• Strong communicator
• Good organisational skills
• Good IT skills
• Can work well independently as well as part of a team
• A second language is preferred but not essential
• Digital systems capability for example Hownow
• Can work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong interest in people development
• Right first time mindset with high attention to detail

To be successful at Alfred H Knight, you will need to display the following:

Required Knowledge and Work

Experience Essential

• Must be at least 18 years old by the start of Apprenticeship (for insurance reasons).
• Five GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above including Maths and English.

Required Work Experience

• Delivering excellent customer service through strong administrative capability in a team environment
• Delivering effective and efficient administration in a busy environment. Administration of Learning Experience Platforms (LXPs) or Learning Management Systems LMSs) is desirable
