Operational Risk Business Partner

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Operational Risk Business Partner to join the team in Liverpool, UK. You will work closely with the group’s inspection division, proactively managing the operational and commercial business risks, and coordinating their management.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support in identifying, prioritising, and managing (where appropriate) operational and commercial business risks.
  • Implementing, rolling out, and maintaining client complaints registering and reporting system.
  • Setting up and coordinating regular periodic meetings.
  • Implementing and maintaining a defined reporting structure.
  • Coordinate the roll out and maintenance of the ORM process across the group.
  • Support operational risk management training initiatives including but not limited to acting as a conduit between Operations and L&D.

 

Required Competencies

  • Strong team player with a collaborative work ethic and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Results-orientated, focused on meeting agreed deadlines and objectives.
  • Confidence in forming effective working relationships with a diverse range of people.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment with an appreciation of varying professional disciplines and the interdependencies involved.
  • The ability to take initiative.
  • Strong project management and organisational/planning skills.
  • Good meeting facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA), solve problems, analyse options, propose recommendations, and make decisions both independently and within a team.
  • IT literate to intermediate level of Microsoft Office and Google Suite packages
  • Good attention to detail.

 

Desirables

  • Previous experience working in an Operational or Commercially focused role.
  • Good working knowledge of operational best practices.
  • Good understanding of risk management processes and methodology.
  • Good understanding of QMS.
