Procurement and Asset Management Assistant (Finance)

WHAT IS ON OFFER

We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement and asset management assistant to join the team based in Johannesburg.

The primary functions of your role, in line with the Responsibilities are outlined below:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assisting with implementing the supply chain of goods and services in accordance with the Procurement Policy;
  • Maintain contract registers;
  • Liaising with suppliers and service providers. Negotiating prices from different suppliers, to ensure company is getting best value for money;
  • Assisting in the implementation of maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure that all goods and services received correspond with orders and contract prices;
  • Raising of Purchase Orders, matching delivery notes to invoices;
  • Day to day capture of purchase transactions;
  • Assist to monitor and manage assets from acquisition to disposition;
  • Assist in capturing and recording assets on the Asset Register;
  • Ensure all assets are insured on date of receipt;
  • Maintaining a professional standard and appearance during office hours and while representing the company when on company business;
  • Ensuring the Company’s Health & Safety policy is applied effectively in areas under the Post Holder’s control;
  • Any other duties assigned by the Financial Controller and Financial Accountant.

  • Experience in procurement, supplies and materials management

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Certificate in Procurement or Bookkeeping advantages

Languages

  • Highly proficient in English (Verbal and written)
