Surveyor

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Surveyor to join our team in Port Klang, Malaysia. AHK Malaysia provides services to the mining, metals, refining and recycling industries in a variety of capacities including auditing, supervision, sampling and analysis of metals and minerals derived from the previously mentioned practices.

As a Surveyor you will be responsible for ensuring client instructions are carried out at various consignment locations. You will act as an independent party to verify compliance to agreed processes and provide details to clients regarding the handling of their product. Examples of some assignments would include: witnessing the processing of recyclable/refining materials, conducting inventory counts, performing active sampling of client products and preparing resulting samples for shipment as necessary.

Required Work Experience 

  • Familiarity or appreciation of international ISO standards would be advantageous.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in gathering, entering and checking data and information.
  • Ensure data collated are correct and reliable, constantly update and reconcile them with other concerned parties.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Principles and Standards.
  • The ability to work in a flexible manner in response to changing daily demands.

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Operational experience within the surveying and inspection industry is preferred.
  • Diploma or High School in a related scientific field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience in coordination, surveying, or inspection roles.
  • Proficiency with basic Microsoft Applications.

 

Required Languages 

  • Fluency in English and Malay.

 

Travel Requirements 

  • Local travel within Malaysia as per business requirements.
  • Ability to drive (clean driving licence).
  • Prepared to work in different locations.
