Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

UK Update –  Tuesday 24th March 2020

The UK Government has, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, introduced tighter measures and restrictions on UK businesses and the movement of people.

At AHK it is of paramount importance to safeguard the well-being of our employees in the office and laboratory environment. We are fully supporting our UK team of more than 550. We have a number of colleagues who are in high-risk categories, who we are supporting while they need to self-isolate, as well as members of our team who are unable to work from home. We are thankful to our team for their efforts and continued support during this unprecedented and challenging period.

As a direct result of the government measures, AHK’s Management have made the very difficult decision to close the UK John Knight Laboratory and offices temporarily as of 5pm Tuesday 24th March 2020 to protect the well-being of all of our employees and their families, and also our suppliers.

Office based employees will be working from home, communication should continue by email until further notice. Our UK-based client management personnel will be working from home and will continue to update our clients on routine overseas inspection business.

We continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation carefully and we will endeavour to resume operations and return to full working capacity, subject to government restrictions, as soon as possible.
