GLOBAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT AT AHK
At Alfred H Knight, we are dedicated to strengthening our teams by providing global training and development initiatives. These programmes are designed to promote cross-regional cooperation and communication and allow our colleagues to benefit from shared knowledge, resources and expertise which in turn allows us to foster innovation and enhance productivity.
Here are just some of the examples of our global collaboration this year…
LEADERSHIP WORKSHOPS IN PERU
Earlier this year, members of our Peru management team had the opportunity to take part in a number of leadership workshops. The sessions were designed to build on essential skills to achieve success in their roles.
Further to this, the workshops encouraged colleagues to collaborate on strategies and skills in order to continuously promote AHK’s culture and values.
DUNDONALD UNLOCKS THEIR POTENTIAL
Recently, Learning and Development Advisor, Robbie Hand, travelled to our Dundonald site to deliver ‘Facilitating With Impact’ and ‘Beyond the Clock’ workshops as part of AHK’s Unlock your Potential programme.
The sessions aimed to provide colleagues with the necessary tools to develop their time management skills and master the art of effective facilitation.
MINERALOGY TRAINING
AHK’s mineralogical services have been used to investigate metals discrepancies, oxidation, radioactive minerals, black mass, e-scrap and fraud.
In June 2024, Dr Laurance Donnelly, Chief Geologist and Head of the Technical Department, joined Professor Duncan Pirrie from Helford Geoscience to deliver a mineralogy training session.
The session aimed to provide colleagues with an introduction to mineralogy, principle mineral groups and mineral processing. Further to this, attendees had the opportunity to further expand their knowledge of mineral samples and sampling, laboratory methods and the value of mineralogy to AHK.
RICHARDS BAY TRAINING AND LABORATORY VISIT
Earlier this year, David Motselebane, Branch Manager, had the opportunity to visit our team in Richards Bay.
The visit provided David with the necessary training and knowledge to build on relationships and streamline work practices across the region.
At Alfred H Knight, we recognise the importance of collaboration when it comes to employee development. Through key meetings and workshops, our colleagues continue to embrace the opportunity to exchange valuable knowledge as we strive to build a resilient and dynamic organisation.
