TECHNICAL TEAM

Alan Porteous – Business Technical Support Assistant

Alan works closely with Ken and the Energy Services team to provide internal and external technical advice and support. He is an expert in all things alternative fuels, logistics, sampling, analysis and reporting of materials and helps clients to build a reliable profile of their materials.

Carl Wilson – RDF Technical Manager

Carl supports clients with his technical expertise in the sampling and analysis of solid waste, including RDF, household waste streams and commercial waste streams. Last year, Carl delivered his seminar ‘Building an accurate profile of your RDF and SRF materials through best practice Sampling’.

Darren Coss – Waste Optimisation Lead

Darren joined Alfred H Knight in March with a wealth of knowledge in specialist waste research that helps clients across a range of sectors to better understand their materials. He also supports the business through the development of new opportunities within the Waste and Recycling Markets.

Philip Wells – Senior Waste Analysis Project Manager

Philip has around 18 years of experience in waste analysis, formulating waste sampling schedules for a number of UK-based field teams and supplying them with a detailed analysis and understanding of the findings.

Nathan Hughes

Nathan Hughes has a proven track record in assisting sites to get the most from their waste streams, driving forward growth for the alternative fuels sector and supporting their Circular Economy obligations to Net Zero.

Amy Fielding

Amy Fielding has a strong background in biomass and waste wood and helps businesses to meet ongoing RHI obligations, and ensure the compliant operation of their biomass energy equipment.

Sam Jeynes

Sam has a strong background in waste. He helps businesses within the waste and recycling sector develop a better understanding of their alternative fuels and waste streams.

Simon Rudd

Simon joined Alfred H Knight in June with 18 years of experience within the environmental and waste sectors. He supports clients with a wealth of technical knowledge and expertise in waste and alternative fuels.
