Is Your Business Prepared For Simpler Recycling?

Is your business one of the 42% of SMEs still unaware that Simpler Recycling will impact your operations? With new government regulations coming into effect by 2025, non-compliance could lead to significant operational disruptions and fines. Here’s how to stay ahead.

HOW WILL SIMPLER RECYCLING AFFECT BUSINESSES?

🗓️ Under Simpler Recycling, it will be mandatory for all non-household premises (businesses, hospitals and schools) in England to arrange for separate collections of food waste and dry recyclable materials by the 31st of March 2025.

🗓️ Micro-firms (businesses with fewer than 10 full-time employees) must arrange for separate collections of the same materials by the 31st of March 2027.

To comply with the new regulations and meet the deadlines, businesses must standardise their waste-handling activities and implement proper recycling practices. By doing so, they can ensure smooth collection and contribute to materials recovery.

WHAT MATERIALS DOES THIS INCLUDE?

Businesses must segregate the following materials into appropriate containers to enable the recycling of valuable resources:
