Community Impact at AHK: 2025 Year in Review

In 2025, our global teams united to turn our values of Ambition and Collaboration into tangible action. From endurance challenges in the UK to essential healthcare support in the DRC, here is how we delivered positive social change this year.

Supporting Healthcare and Wellbeing

Our teams dedicated time to supporting physical and mental health. Early in the year, colleagues from AHK’s Dundonald and Olympic Park facilities rallied to support Ayrshire Hospice, raising funds for a new In-Patient Unit and representatives from Liverpool, Erica Campbell and Kerryann Jones, showcased incredible bravery by completing a skydive for mental health awareness.

Support continued globally, with colleagues in the Democratic Republic of Congo visiting Vangu Camp Military Hospital to provide gift packages and comfort to patients.

  • Formby Junior Sports Club
  • Rainford Ladies Athletic U10s
  • Seneley & Garswood Lionesses U10s
  • St Luke’s Catholic Primary School.

Beyond football, we supplied essential resources to St Helen’s Bees Netball Club in the UK and Kroondal Primary School in South Africa, strengthening teamwork and confidence in young people.

Ambition in Action: Sporting Challenges

Our colleagues demonstrated true determination by taking on demanding physical challenges. Team AHK UK tackled the Born Survivor 2025 obstacle course, a true test of physical grit and collaboration.

Individual achievements were equally impressive:

  • Robert Dunn and Jolene Sherbrooke completed the London Marathon.
  • Sarah Tunstall conquered a 60-mile walk.
  • Liam Kirby crossed the finish line at the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon.
  • Maya Killcross ran the Caernarfon Half Marathon.
  • Team AHK India participated in the Swami Vivekanand Run in Mumbai.
  • Colleagues in Namibia took on the Ocean View Marathon.
  • Team members from AHK Holland took part in the Rotterdam Harbour Run 2025

Seasonal and Local Community Impact

During Easter, UK teams collected essential items for local food banks, with Knowsley Foodbank noting the significant impact of these contributions.

Internal initiatives also played a key role in bringing our people together. AHK Dundonald hosted a dedicated Afternoon Tea to support breast cancer awareness. Meanwhile, colleagues across our network organised coffee mornings and participation events that strengthened community spirit and employee involvement.

In China, our colleagues collaborated with the TIC Council to support rural revitalisation in Gansu Province. By purchasing local agricultural products, the team helped promote sustainable livelihoods in the region.
