To extend capabilities within the region, Alfred H Knight has commissioned a new mineral sample preparation facility in Poti, Georgia. 

The facility features advanced systems and a team of experienced personnel, supporting the sample preparation of base metal concentrate materials and ensuring operations meet internationally recognised standards.

Sample preparation services include:

• Screening. We use a full set of screens to perform size determination for contractual purposes.
• Division/Splitting. We use riffle splitters to further divide samples. We also use rotary dividers for quality samples.
• Milling. Ring Mills are used for final sample preparation.
• Sampling. We use ISO sampling instruments and provide inspection services across Georgia, with fast sample dispatch to one of our dedicated mineral laboratories.

This facility builds on our existing capabilities in the region, which include:

• Weighing, sampling and moisture determination of metal concentrates
• Draught Survey
• Stock Inspections and Due Diligence
• Supervision of cargo handling operations
• Flow Moisture Point and Transportable Moisture Limit (FMP/TML)
