SAMPLER (STALNEMER) – Belgium

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an essential opportunity for a motivated Sampler to join our frontline operations team in Belgium. This is a role for a dependable “doer”—someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys an active, hands-on career outside of a traditional office environment.

As a Sampler, you are the linchpin of our operations. You are our eyes and ears on the ground at ports, refineries, and warehouses, ensuring that global trade moves accurately and safely. You will be responsible for the high-precision weighing, sampling, and sealing of materials in accordance with strict safety and quality procedures. Working closely with our Operations and Administration teams, you will ensure the integrity of every sample and maintain the professional standards that our global clients rely on.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Required Competencies

  • Reliability & Integrity: You are a dependable professional who understands the importance of accuracy and honesty in every task.
  • Hands-on Approach: You enjoy physical, manual work and are comfortable operating in industrial environments like ports and refineries.
  • Independence: You are self-motivated and can be trusted to follow instructions and operate independently on-site.
  • Precision: You have strong attention to detail and take pride in gathering and checking data to ensure it is 100% correct.
  • Flexibility: You are happy to adapt to changing daily demands and are prepared to work at different locations, including occasional travel to Holland, France, or Germany.
  • Communication: You are a team player with the interpersonal skills to inform others and share knowledge within the team.
  • Licensing: You hold a clean and valid driving license.

Required Work Experience

  • Experience in a manual labour role that requires an analytical mind and the ability to follow technical processes.
  • Experience working at Ports, Warehouses, Refineries, or Smelters is highly preferred. Living in the Antwerp port area is an advantage.

Required Languages

  • Written and verbal communication in Flemish and English. Basic French is an advantage.
