ALFRED H KNIGHT HOSTS GRADUATE WORKSHOP EVENT
This month, Alfred H Knight hosted its first Graduate Workshop Event at its head office in Prescot, Merseyside.
The workshop brought together around 20 of AHK’s diverse and enthusiastic graduates from across the UK to get to know their colleagues in roles different to theirs.
As part of the event, Arnie Waters, Cotton Services Business Lead for Agriculture, shared his knowledge of the cotton industry and took part in a Q&A session. In the session, our graduates gathered valuable insights and answers to any questions they had on cotton.
“It was a pleasure to speak to the graduates. They were an enthusiastic group who were clearly interested in agricultural services. It’s important to have these types of events to ensure that those starting out in their careers appreciate the full range of the company’s activities and feel part of it.”

The event was also attended by Ian Baxter, CEO of Alfred H Knight. Ian spent some time answering a range of questions from graduates. This was well received by the graduates, who were able to get advice both commercially and personally from Ian, who has been with the company for over 7 years.
“It was a pleasure to meet AHK’s latest graduate intake. The fundamental long-term success of our business is built on recruiting, developing and retaining talented and committed people. Providing them with a clear and supportive pathway is crucial in their growth and helping them to succeed in their careers at Alfred H Knight. I thoroughly enjoyed the event and look forward to following the graduates’ progress.”
