THE CHALLENGE

As a subcontractor, Breza bids for international job opportunities, requiring them to have as many certified welders in their team as possible. Some of their welders needed further experience and training in ISO 9606-1 or ASME IX standards to meet the specifications of potential work.

Some of the welders trained by Alfred H Knight have gone on to work on large-scale international jobs, including refurbishment of the Kariba Dam Sluice Gates, the ZESCO Kafue Gorge 150MW power output turbine fatigue cracks arresting and the piping and tanks on a fuel depot at a Mozambique Port related to TOTAL- ENEL offshore gas Project.
