Energy from Waste (EfW)

Regular testing and analysis of your waste material is required to meet WASTE ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA, but it can also help you to measure the energy output available, the renewable content and the level of contaminants within your materials.


Alfred H Knight Energy Services operate from strategically placed, UKAS ACCREDITED hubs to undertake sampling and analysis of SRF and RDF to BSEN 15442 and BSEN 15400 standards.

We are able to produce fuel measurement and sampling (FMS) plans to meet your requirements, and provide training for site staff to undertake sampling in accordance with a defined procedure on a regular basis.



By understanding the composition of your Solid Recovered Fuels (SRF) and Refuse Derived Fuels (RDF), you can build a reliable profile of your waste materials.

This will help you to remain compliant with environmental regulations, meet any contractual agreements you have as a supplier and ensure that you only use fuel that meets the right specifications for your plant equipment.



We also provide accurate fuel and composition analysis on Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) where Energy from Waste (EfW) operators require testing to meet the requirements of OFGEM for the Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) scheme.
